Bee Williamson
Hi
I’m Bee.
I spent some time growing up in Devon in the 70’s in a converted furniture van and celebrated my first birthday at a Rolling Stones concert at Knebworth, apparently I was asleep the whole time.
With an early love of dance & music from watching my parents freeze to death doing a theatrical interpretation of the Eygptian Book of the Dead at a Edinburgh Festival, I came to love theatre down under at the Old Drill Hall in Mullumbimby. Yes, there is actually somewhere called Mullumbimby.
Back to drizzly hometown Melbourne, finishing highschool directing A Midsummer’s Nights Dream, I went onto my own dream, a course at the Victorian College of the Arts. There I discovered photography, creative writing including poetry and 11pm hot chocolates in empty classrooms. A long relationship with the written word developed as theatre-love was buried in too much Lacan theory.
Race towards the end of the naughties and ‘hive’ is now 10 years old…awwww….still doing design, loving learning more about what fine art is….open to debate really (in our day and age)…and crafting poems as a Café Poet at Pheast48, in cahoots with the Australian Poetry Centre. Blogging on at: http://gypsyheart.typepad.com/blog/
okay. that’s me.
