Gavin Brown

Prior to commencing a full time art practice, Gavin was the solo textile designer for the Fashion Design Council in Melbourne.

Since graduating in 1985 Gavin has held 15 solo exhibitions, and participated in numerous group exhibitions, including an exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He has been a finalist in the “Sulman Prize” (2003), and most recently completed a major commission for the Marina Bay Sands Casino in Singapore. Gavin’s work is held in the National Gallery of Victoria, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, The Powerhouse in Sydney, the City of Port Phillip Cultural Archive, and numerous private collections.
