Mark Gibbs

Mark Gibbs studied art in South Africa during the early eighties and ran his own graphic design studio in Adelaide during the eighties and nineties. He has been featured in eight major exhibitions in Sydney and Adelaide and participated in a large number of group exhibitions nationally.

In his current work, Mark Gibbs is contemplating the idyllic existence in this great southern Utopia. Perhaps we are surrounded by Aussie gods and goddesses. Indulging his love of people-watching, Gibbs’ work is a comment on the grand archetypal narratives played out in the everyday.
