11.30am, Friday 20 March Federation Hall, Grant Street, Southbank
Based in Glasgow Scotland, Beagles + Ramsay have worked collaboratively since 1996. Their work has been exhibited internationally including the Venice Biennale 2003, PS1 MOMA and The ICA . Two key interweaving currents drive the work of Beagles and Ramsay: the reoccurring use of fictionalised self-portraiture and a critical examination of aspects of contemporary consumer culture. In this talk, Beagles and Ramsay – variously described as ‘enthusiasts’, ‘little fakers’ and ‘inveterate and strategic liars’ – reveal what makes them tick.
