‘Create’ at the heart of the Sustainable Living Festival
10 years of sustainable arts on Fed Square
‘artedged’ curated by Karin Neumann consists of a tenth anniversary survey show of 12 artists – a ‘10 up’ of previous festival artists presented in the BMW Edge Gallery and outdoors on Fed Square. ‘art on the walk’, features a series of interactive events along Yarra Walk where festival visitors, assisted by public artists, can participate in the creation of works. The aim is to encourage and demonstrate the creative abilities of the community and to construct a space for an ideas exchange, focused on sustainability in the arts.
Exhibition highlights include:
• Dr. Phil Edwards- distinguished visual artist, sound artist and academic
• Kate Shaw- Wynne Landscape Art Prize finalist, reinvents landscape painting
• Tony Adams- winner of the Montalto Sculpture Prize constructs works from consumer debris
• Alexander Ouchtomksy- this young artist is featured in a solo ‘retrospective’ that traces his development in constructing mas
