A photographic exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the uprising in Tibet. Events also include film screening (The Unwinking Gaze), blessing & tour (by Chenrezig buddhist nuns & Geshe Jamyang), photographer’s talk (by Brisbane-based photographer Niki Taxidis), and guided Meditation & Buddhist talks.

This exhibition brings together a stunning collection of fifty colour and black & white images by Australian and Tibetan-Australian photographers. The images – some taken in the Tibetans’ exile home of Dharamsala, India, others in Australia and from inside Tibet itself – capture the dignity, courage and vibrancy of Tibetan life that continues to develop despite 50 years of oppression and exile.
