Eric Henshall is a full-time painter living and working in North Melbourne. Painting is at the centre of Eric’s passion for art, feeling irresistibly compelled to paint the world in which he lives, in an attempt to show the things he sees. Love, beauty and emotion are at the core of Eric’s work.

Eric Henshall is a full-time painter living and working in North Melbourne. Painting is at the centre of Eric’s passion for art, feeling irresistibly compelled to paint the world in which he lives, in an attempt to show the things he sees.

Inspired by his surroundings, Eric attempts to extract the essence of what he sees from the distorting uncertainties and ambiguities, “ I simplify my world in my paintings, because it’s actually so complicated that sometimes the beauty needs to be extracted to be remembered”.
