The Museum of Modern Art - MoMA

Wednesday 29 September 2010 to Monday 28 February 2011
This exhibition introduces the dynamic position that printmaking has played in the artistic and political fabric of South Africa, from the 1960s to today - a period that includes apartheid and post-apartheid issues.

Comprising recent acquisitions to the Museum’s collection, this installation will include over 70 works, showcasing some 20 South African artists never before exhibited here, along with key examples by William Kentridge, one of South Africa’s most celebrated artists. Organized by Judith B. Hecker, Assistant Curator, Department of Prints and Illustrated Books, The Museum of Modern Art. This exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue.
