Inside the Realm of Invisible Spheres

Wednesday 24 June 2009 to Sunday 12 July 2009

These works explore the shifts of perception that occur when our awareness of reality through observation is deconstructed, exposing a rupture in the natural order. Spheres and bubbles with their infinite and sensitive boundaries mark out fragile positive and negative spaces.

Jasmine Targett

’There is no logical way to the discovery of these elemental laws. There is only the way of intuition, which is helped by a feeling for the order lying behind the appearance.’ –Albert Einstein

Beyond the Visible
The duality of bubbles describes an interior sphere encased by a fragile exterior shell. Self contained, the inner and outer innately reflect one another. The modern scientific notion of binary duality argues that in order to see the reality of the exterior it must first be understood as an innate reflection of the interior. The sum of parts deconstructed, reveal a discerning view of the relationship that forms the structure of the whole.

It is the potential of innate binary duality that offers unique insight beyond the visible.
