Oh-fencive Power & Passion

As a quantum gestalt photographic image creator, Peter Ryan moves through the environments he affects, is affected by, and is a participant/observer in. Selecting the eigen state (reality) by pressing the shutter and using whatever techniques, styles and genres that he feels communicate the “A-ha”ness of the situation. His images are both the catalyst and the conduit for a dialog between artist and viewer, viewer and image, and the viewer and the viewer as they internally parse their reaction to the external stimuli of the image in terms of their own experience and environments.

I believe that what is excluded from the frame defines the image as much as what is included and how the image’s elements are related to one another.

I like minimalism.

I don’t expect people to necessarily like my work. To have it appreciated, and to have it make people think is enough.
