The figures in _Encuentros_ are constructed to varying degrees from observation, memory and imagination. These works relay a transcription of impressions from past and present studio sessions.
What remains unsaid in each work is as vital as what is revealed and each painting is defined by the undiscovered nature of the figure, their quiet and unreadable gaze alluding to internal worlds only partly teased out by the painter’s inquisition.
