Kickstart, Next Wave's popular arts development program for young emerging artists opens soon, and we'd love you to apply.

Since 2001, selected artists from across Australia have been brought to Melbourne to participate in numerous Next Wave Kickstart workshops, seminars, site visits and mentoring sessions. The goal of Next Wave Kickstart is to support artists develop their practice and make new work for the Next Wave Festival in 2012.

In 2009, seventeen artists and arts groups participated in Next Wave Kickstart, who each created bold and ambitious new work for the 2010 Next Wave Festival.

If you are a practicing artist, aged 18 to 30 (as of the 1 January 2011) we’d love to hear from you. Application packs will be available on the 16th of November, but to have yours emailed to you directly register your interest by emailing us: nextwave@nextwave.org.au
