Brady Robards addresses the way identites are constructed through social-networking sites.
His lecture is based on his study of young Gold Coast MySpace and Facebook users, which focused on how their senses of self developed in relation to changing systems of belonging. Robards is a PhD candidate and sessional lecturer at Griffith University on the Gold Coast. The Urban Cultures lectures are a joint project with the Centre for Cultural Research, Griffith University.
