Colin Black’s sound works at the National Library of Franc
Colin Black’s musical/sound art works chosen to be preserved at the National Library of France (Bibliothèque Nationale de France).
“Considering the interest we have for your works …” Françoise Barrière director of the Institute de Musique Électroacoustique de Bourges said “… We insist again that each work should be digitalized”.
Black’s work will be part of the Institute de Musique Électroacoustique de Bourges / Bibliothèque Nationale de France Collection project. This Phonothèque is planned to include biographies, program notes and audio recordings in an interactive data base which will be made public both at the National Library of France in Paris and the Zurich University of the Arts (Switzerland). In the near future this Phonothèque will also be available online from these institutions.
Colin Black is a Composer / Sound Artist who has been internationally recognised by winning the prestigious Prix Italia Award (2003) in the category Best Music Radio – Composed Work for composing and producing his major work ‘The Ears Outside My Lis
