Valentina Palonen presents a series of mixed media sculptures enclosed by a conspicuously artificial and theatrical forest-scape.

Referencing the intersection between animistic spirituality and contemporary fantasy narratives, the artist collects and remakes, drawing upon elements from mythology, fantasy and popular culture to create works which explore the nature of reality, spirituality and fiction, and the large grey areas which lie between.
