HUNTER GATHERER

GALLERY 73 BARRY ST, CARLTON, VIC

GALLERY 73 BARRY ST

Saturday 18 June 2011 to Saturday 02 July 2011
Opening Saturday 18 June 2011 5 - 7 PM
Emerging artist and ‘HUNTER GATHERER’ Antonia Tatchell paints powerful Australian nostalgia – tugging the heartstrings of every milk bar kid of the 70’s

Her works are a nostalgic social documentary of Australia in the 70’s before our culture became heavily Americanised. If you remember being called off the streets after dark for dinner, if you remember skateboarding till your knees were raw or sitting on the Holden bonnet at a local footy game then don’t miss this!

Antonia’s dynamic use of colour and signature style has a powerful impact drawing on our sentimentality for the carefree Australia of the 70’s.

This is Antonia’s third exhibition and first solo show. It is a collection that has taken two years to complete. Antonia holds a Diploma of Visual Arts and was awarded a prize for ‘Best Emerging Talent’. Antonia’s previous shows have been sellouts

Further exhibition hours of opening are 25 & 26 June and 1 & 2 July 10am-2pm or by appointment call 0438897150 or by email.
