"House"

Ausin Tung Gallery

Wednesday 23 November 2011 to Thursday 22 December 2011
Opening Wednesday 23 November 2011 6-8pm
Ausin Tung Gallery is proud to present the work of Taiwanese artist Chien-Yang Wang for his first solo exhibition in Australia. 'House' focuses on exploring privacy, fantasy and imagination. Playful and irreverent, Wangs photographs feature Taiwanese models who are placed into surreal scenarios where innocence is remembered amidst a toy-filled wonderland.

It is evident through his vibrant photographs that Wang explores the concept of the home through fresh eyes. He leaves behind the mundane and ordinary, and brings forth the innocence of being youthful in modern the world. Wang pushes the possibility that unexpected events can happen everyday, and it is within the walls of a house that we can begin to discover the ‘extraordinary’ in our own selves.

“I am now working on creative photography, also enjoy taking photos of beauty, portrait and dance performance. My dream is to travel around the world and share my work with people all around. ‘House’ is a new series of work, concerning a private place, in which we can be naked, our thoughts can fly, funny and crazy things can happen.”
