A fleeting glimpse into the life and times of two countries and beyond, this exhibition will disrupt the way you think about photography. From oblique takes on portraiture and collage to snapshots of society at its best and worst, Hijacked III presents far reaching photographic practices which question what it means to look, catch or construct images for the 21st century.

Take a trip into the fantastic and foreboding worlds of over 24 artists from opposite sides of the globe.

Curated by Louise Clements, Mark McPherson and Leigh Robb, Hijacked III is being presented simultaneously across two sites: PICA here in Perth, and QUAD Gallery in Derby in the UK and has been timed to coincide with the launch of the sumptuous Hijacked III publication.

Hijacked III is part of the 2012 Perth International Arts Festival and Foto Freo 2012. This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body.
