The exhibition From here to Eternity presents a selection of marvellous and splendidly crafted tapestry works from the Victorian Tapestry Workshop. Regarded as a world centre for one of Western civilisation's oldest and richest art forms, the Victorian Tapestry Workshop boasts an international reputation for the freshness, vitality and technical excellence of its hand-woven tapestries.
From here to Eternity features tapestries produced from major original works by leading Australian contemporary artists, including Davida Allen, Angela Brennan, Jon Cattapan, Louise Forthun, Alun Leach-Jones, Reg Mombassa, Jimmy Pike and Gareth Sansom. A feature tapestry is Martin Sharp’s iconic work ‘Eternity’.
