To Make a Work of Timeless Art

Primavera Acquisitions

MCA - Museum of Contemporary Art

Wednesday 12 November 2008 to Sunday 22 February 2009
As a proud supporter of the next generation of artists, the MCA has acquired for its permanent collection a substantial number of works by emerging Australian artists—many of whom are now well established in their careers.

To make a work of timeless art: MCA Primavera Acquisitions presents a selection of works by former Primavera artists acquired by the museum over the past 17 years.

The exhibition provides a unique insight into the history of the popular Primavera series whilst highlighting key works by emerging and established Australian artists including Shaun Gladwell, Gail Hastings, David Rosetzky, Nike Savvas and Tim Silver.
