Blindside is an artist-run gallery that provides an exhibition space for emerging and established artists with a program spanning solo, group and curated shows.

Blindside’s role is to support and promote contemporary art practice. We provide an environment for experimentation and encourage the creation and presentation of art works that are challenging and innovative. The program fosters exchanges between local and interstate artists. We also maintain a framework of assistance and mentoring for emerging artists, curators and writers, facilitating critical dialogues.

Blindside Artist Run Space operates on a not-for-profit basis. The founding Blindside committee members were Renai Grace, Christine Morrow, Pip Haydon, Rosie Mahoney, Asim Memishi, and Simon Koger. Current members are Daine Singer, Robert Heather, Julian White, Natalie Kazakis, Holly Arden, Drew Pettifer, Andrew Tetzlaff and Natalya Maller.

This exhibition will present three female artists each responding to the themes; sex, death and violence. Sex, Death and Violence
Queensland artists Ashby and Shaw will present an exhibition comprised of paintings and objects united by their diminutive size to examine how presentation and exhibition design can influence the understanding of a piece of art.
The Miniature Museum
Systems of collecting and documentation are at the heart of Ria Green’s art practice. In her daily passage from home to one place or the other, she is driven by the possibility of another discovery; a roaming curator eager for her next acquisition. Green’s studio (her bedroom, kitchen and lounge room), bears witness to these travels and reveals her to be the custodian of a strange array of odd
'New Histories'
Investigating the technological and mythological concepts associated with the grotesque, Dalton will transform Blindside into a grotto representative of a microcosmic immersive space.
