Kunstpalais

Founded in 1974 at the Palais Stutterheim that was built from 1728 to 1730 and located in the center of the Huguenot town. After two years of renovation phase, the Palace of Art was opened with a doubled to almost 500 m2 of exhibition space on the ground floor and basement of the Palais Stutterheim. With a new program and under new management.

The exhibition program of the Palace of Art offer focused on relevant positions on the international art scene, the connection to the contemporary discourse within and outside of art. Conceptual issues of references to literature, philosophy and film find it special consideration. Interdisciplinary accompanying anchor the content of art to wider social level.
