UTS Gallery
About
UTS Gallery was established in 1995 as a not-for-profit gallery dedicated to exhibiting emerging and established arts practitioners. The gallery plays an important role in the cultural life of UTS as a place that promotes sharing ideas and inspires creativity. Beyond the university the gallery contributes to the vitality of the wider Sydney arts community.
Exhibitions
UTS Gallery presents a rich and diverse program focusing on innovative exhibitions of art and social inquiry. Design and architecture exhibitions aimed to raise public awareness and stimulate development are regularly staged. The program supports local, national and international practitioners working in a variety of mediums including installation, photography, digital media, sculpture, painting and graphic design.
The program consists of exhibitions proposed to, as well as those initiated by UTS Gallery. Collaborations, exchanges and touring exhibitions also form part of the program. In previous years we have worked with other Universities and arts organisations from overseas. A public program of educational activities and special events include lunchtime lectures, forums, seminars and workshops.
