BREENSPACE is an innovative contemporary art space in Sydney that connects Australian contemporary artists with curators, collectors and architects locally and internationally.

BREENSPACE responds to the shifts in contemporary art by supporting a range of emerging and mid-career artists who position processes as a central to their practice. Gallery artists include Gary Carsley, Beata Geyer, Tim Silver, Simryn Gill, Dani Marti, Vanila Netto, r e a and Mitch Cairns.

Gallery artists have been included in many important exhibitions, such as Documenta XXII ; the Venice Biennale; the Sydney Biennale; the Istanbul Biennale, Art Basel; the Liverpool Biennale, the Berlin Biennale; the Singapore Biennale; and the Sao Paulo Biennale.

BREENSPACE is the culmination of a decade of curatorial practice by its Director, Sally Breen, who has held senior positions with public contemporary art institutions in Australia. Sally has contributed significantly to the dialogues on Australian contemporary practice through facilitating local and international curatorial and editorial initiatives and cultural exchanges.
