Museum of Brisbane
Located at the heart of Brisbane, in the iconic City Hall, Museum of Brisbane is a social history museum and visual arts gallery created by people with a passion to inspire others about life in Brisbane. MoB explores the people, places and stories of Brisbane that illuminate the city’s past and present while also looking to the future. An ever-changing program of exhibitions, installations and events ensure that every visit to MoB is unique.
Visitors can experience the often hidden and forgotten stories of Brisbane through our social history displays. These exhibitions are a great way to find out about Brisbane, through a combination of historical information, artefacts and objects, and the personal recollections of historical figures and residents of the era.
Museum of Brisbane also celebrates the visual arts, craft and design through its exhibition program. Visitors can discover artworks from the City of Brisbane collection as well as contemporary exhibitions and installations by some of the city’s leading artists.
