Elements Gallery
Elements Art Gallery is conveniently located in Subiaco and provides an excellent opportunity for local, interstate and overseas visitors to view a diverse range of Western Australian Art. Showcasing the best contemporary paintings, prints, sculptures and glass the gallery represents well established and mid career artists such as Amanda McHenry, Brett Hill, Brian Simmonds, Caroline Christie, David Giles, Diana Webster, Dragica Milunovic, Eve Arnold, Jane McKay, Lidija Dombrovska-Larsen, Phillip Berry, Richard Walley and Roweana Keall-Walsh as well as 2008 Victoria Park Art Awards First Prize Winner Mutsuko Bonnardeaux.
We also present interstate and international artists, which include Queensland visual artist Priscilla Bracks, Sydney sculptor/jeweller/writer Tracey Clement, South African painter Catherine Christie, Brisbane glassworker Sarah Wong and Sydney-based painter Liz McKay.
Originally established four years ago at Hay street Subiaco, Elements Art Gallery has in its short life, carved its reputation as a vibrant, progressive gallery firmly establishing itself in the Perth art market. In June 2008, the gallery underwent a change of ownership and location.
The new premises located in 48 Derby Road, Subiaco is a magnificent, rustic setting for the new gallery. The former theatre, comprises of two viewing floors where visitors can enjoy the relaxed and informal surroundings of the space which is loaded with the charm reminiscent of a Tuscan village.
As well as an exciting exhibition schedule, 2009 will see the launch of the inaugural ‘Elements Embrace Art Award’ an event open to all practising artists in which the winner will receive a solo exhibition at the gallery. Further events currently in the planning stage will be announced in the near future.
