Bravura examines Australian contemporary decorative arts in the twenty-first century from the permanent collection of the Art Gallery of South Australia, including acquisitions from the Maude Vizard-Wholohan Art Prize Purchase Awards 2009. The exhibition encompasses the practices of textiles, ceramics, glass, furniture, metalware and jewellery by Indigenous and non-Indigenous practitioners.

Published more than 500 years ago in 1493, the 600 page Nuremberg Chronicle was the world’s first elaborately-illustrated book. It presents the history of the world (in Latin) from creation to the 1490s and is accompanied by over 1800 woodblock printed illustrations of historical figures, biblical and historical scenes

October 4, November 1 (Annual Family Fun Day) and December 6. START is an exciting introduction to visual art for children and families offered on the first Sunday of the month, between 12 noon and 3pm. And it’s free! The START program includes children’s tours, art and craft sessions, family trails, live music and entertainment. All activities are suitable for children aged 5-10 years.
