A pioneer of the bromoil process, famed for his dramatic seascapes, he strove as both an artist and editor for photography’s recognition as an art form. This exhibition displays for the first time the major gift to the Gallery’s collection from the artist’s daughter.

With more than sixty years of community service Polaroid succumbed to the popularity of digital and in February 2008 announced that it would cease manufacturing instant film. This exhibition is a tribute to the art, craft and nostalgia of instant film.

Fragmented Affections

New and recent photomedia work. The images involve a mix of analogue and digital photography and digital construction, creating ephemeral, fragile works that don't always look like photography. 'Fragmented Affections' is an exhibition where the artist is exposing his more fragile, broken thoughts (if you look hard enough), & where he attempts to reassess himself and his relationships with others.
